Moist Banana Bread Recipe
This banana bread recipe is perfect for those lazy afternoon snacks or for when you need a little pick-me-up. The combination of ripe bananas, butter, and sugar makes for an incredibly moist and sweet loaf that is sure to put a smile on your face.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C)
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter.
- Add the baking soda, salt, sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, and stir to combine.
- Add the flour, and mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×5 inch loaf pan.

Here’s what you’ll need:
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup warm water (110°F/45°C)
- 1/2 cup warm milk (110°F/45°C)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Add the warm water, warm milk, and softened butter, and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough, and shape it into a loaf.
- Place the loaf in a greased loaf pan, and let it rise for 30-45 minutes, or until it has doubled in size.
- Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes, or until it is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
