Hey y’all! Today I’ve got a great breakfast recipe to share with you. It’s called Oats Chilla and it’s super easy to make. This recipe is perfect for all my busy folks out there who want a quick and healthy breakfast option.
First things first, let’s talk about the ingredients. You’ll need some oats, besan (chickpea flour), onions, tomatoes, ginger, green chili, and some spices. I know some of y’all might not have these ingredients at home but don’t worry, you can easily find them at your local grocery store or online.
Now let’s get started with the recipe. The first step is to grind your oats into a fine powder. You can use a blender or a food processor for this. Once you’ve got your oats powder, mix it with besan and some water to make a smooth batter. Add in your chopped onions, tomatoes, ginger, and green chili. Mix well.
Next, add in your spices. You can use whatever spices you prefer but I’m gonna recommend some cumin, coriander, turmeric, and salt. Mix everything together until you have a smooth batter.
Now, heat up a non-stick pan on medium heat. Once the pan is hot, take a ladleful of batter and pour it onto the pan. Use the back of the ladle to spread the batter evenly. Let it cook for a couple of minutes until the edges start to turn brown. Flip it over and let it cook for another minute or two. Your Oats Chilla is ready!
Now let’s talk about presentation. I know some of y’all might not think presentation is important but trust me, it makes a difference. Take your Oats Chilla and place it on a plate. Add some chopped coriander on top for some color and flavor. I like to serve mine with some green chutney or ketchup on the side.

Oats Chilla Ingredients:
– Oats
