Miso Glazed Salmon Skewers

This dish features succulent salmon pieces that are perfectly seasoned with a sweet and savory miso glaze. They’re skewered and grilled to perfection, resulting in a juicy, flavorful, and healthy dish that is perfect for any summer gathering.

To make this dish, you’ll need:

  • 1/3 cup of miso paste
  • 1/4 cup of mirin
  • 1/4 cup of sake
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger, peeled and grated
  • 1 1/2 pounds of salmon, cut into chunks
  • 1 red onion, cut into chunks
  • 1 red pepper, cut into chunks
  • Metal or bamboo skewers

First, soak the skewers in water for about 30 minutes (if you’re using bamboo skewers). While the skewers are soaking, prepare the miso glaze. In a saucepan, combine the miso paste, mirin, sake, brown sugar, sesame oil, and ginger. Whisk together until the sugar has dissolved.

Once the glaze is ready, thread the salmon chunks, red onion, and red pepper onto the skewers. Brush the skewers generously with the miso glaze.

Grilled Salmon Skewers

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Carefully place the skewers on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, brushing with the miso glaze occasionally, until the salmon is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.
