Pasta is one of my favorite meals, it’s so easy to make and always delicious. I recently came across a tuna pasta recipe that simply blew my mind. Not only is it quick and easy to make, but it’s also very healthy and filling. The best part is that this recipe only takes 15 minutes to make!
To start off, you’ll need to gather a few ingredients: pasta (I prefer using whole grain pasta), canned tuna, cherry tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, parsley, and salt and pepper to taste. I usually have all these ingredients on hand, so it’s easy to whip up this recipe whenever I’m in a hurry.
First, you’ll need to cook the pasta according to the package instructions until it’s al dente. While the pasta is cooking, prep the other ingredients. Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and finely chop the garlic and parsley. Once the pasta is done, drain it and set it aside.
Next, heat up some olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for a few minutes until it’s fragrant. Then, add the cherry tomatoes and cook for another minute or two until they start to soften. Finally, add the canned tuna and cook for a minute, stirring occasionally.
Once the tuna is heated through, add the cooked pasta to the pan and stir everything together. Squeeze a bit of fresh lemon juice over the pasta and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Now that your tuna pasta is ready, it’s time to plate it up and enjoy! I like to serve mine with a side salad for some extra veggies. This recipe is so delicious and filling, it’s perfect for lunch or dinner.
